  • Put them on AFTER: Makeup, hairspray, and perfume. Alcohol and chemicals can tarnish the metal and pearls.
  • Wait 2 minutes: Allow your cream or perfume to dry before closing your necklace.

  • Stainless Steel (The "All-Terrain" Team) The advantage: It's robust, rust-resistant, and withstands fresh water. Can you shower with it? Yes, occasionally. However, avoid salt water (sea) or chlorinated water (swimming pool) which can damage the gold plating over time. Cleaning: A little warm water, mild soap, and a dry cloth are all you need to restore its shine.
  • Handmade & Brass Creations (The "Precious" Team) The advantage: Unique pieces, often textured or featuring natural stones. Can you shower with them on? No. To preserve the handcrafted assembly and delicate gilding, you must remove them before showering, playing sports, or swimming. Cleaning: Use only a soft, dry cloth (like a chamois) to gently polish them. No water!

To prolong the lifespan of your costume jewelry:

  1. Sports (Sweat & Impact): The acidity of perspiration attacks metals. Remove your jewelry before your gym or yoga session.
